What is Single Sign-On?
Single sign-on, or SSO, lets staff access multiple software systems with one set of login credentials instead of remembering separate passwords for each tool. A user signs in once through a central identity provider and is then granted access to connected applications such as the CRM, DMS, and other dealership platforms. For dealerships, SSO improves both security and convenience: it reduces password fatigue and risky habits like reusing or writing down passwords, makes it easy to revoke access instantly when an employee leaves, and centralizes control over who can reach which systems. It also supports stronger protections like multi-factor authentication applied at the single entry point. As dealerships adopt more connected tools handling sensitive customer and financial data, single sign-on becomes an important part of a sound security posture and a smoother daily experience for the team.
